On August 5, Adentan Mothers for Kozie, a non-partisan women’s group, organized a massive walk to showcase the achievements of Akosua Asaa Manu (Kozie), the NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Adentan. The group highlighted Kozie’s various initiatives, policies, and projects that have positively impacted women and mothers in the constituency. These include:
– Facilitating road construction of the Adentan Container Road
– Distributing sanitary pads and exercise books to public school students
– Providing Mother’s Day packages to female teachers and spouses of Pastors within Adentan
– Offering interest-free loans to Adentan Market traders
– Conducting health and eye screenings for over 15,000 individuals and donating to Muslim and Ga Traditional Communities during festive seasons.
The group praised Kozie’s dedication to the constituency, adopting her as their “daughter” and expressing pride in her accomplishments. Kozie surprised the group with a visit, thanking them for their support and emphasizing the importance of sharing the NPP’s good works with others. She also assured them that their efforts would be rewarded.
They also mentioned that Kozie’s initiatives in distributing sanitary pads to young adolescent girls in all public schools and the donation of exercise books as well as presentation of Mother’s Day packages to all female teachers and her BECE extra classes for all candidates from public basic schools in the Constituency are ones that they as mothers really appreciate.
The group was also full of appreciation to Kozie for her presentation of a lump-sum of GH¢50,000 to serve as interest-free loans to the traders at the Adentan Market.
They also mentioned Kozie’s numerous health and eye screening exercises, where over 15,000 individuals in the constituency have benefited from her benevolence, as well as her donations of assorted items to the Muslim and Traditional Ga Communities during various festive seasons.
They said all these initiatives are things that benefit women and mothers in the Constituency directly and these alleviate their hardships in various ways.
The group speaks so highly of Kozie and her impact in the Adentan Constituency to the point that they say they have adopted her as their daughter, hence their slogan: ‘Kozie; Our Daughter, Our Pride’.
Akosua Asaa Manu paid the group a surprise visit at Adentan Barrier, the end point of the Mega Walk and expressed her profound gratitude to them for the overwhelming show of love and support for her.
She said that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s mantra that #ItIsPossible means that anyone who believes in the NPP must make conscious efforts on daily/weekly basis to talk to people about the good works of the party.
She assured the group and all other individuals who are putting in various efforts to ensure an overwhelming victory for the NPP in the upcoming elections that their efforts are well noticed and would never go unrewarded.
Adenta is proud of Kozie. This is the kind of MP that Adenta needs. Very industrious woman and ever ready to give a helping hand to the constituency as a whole. A mother for all. Your good works will follow you to your victory on Dec 7th. God bless you Akosua.
